Aníbal Augusto Milhais
Aníbal Milhais became known as “Millions”, in the words of the Commander of Infantry Battalion 15th, of the 2nd Division of the C.E.P (Expeditionary Portuguese Corp) “You are Milhais, but you are worth millions”.
During the battle of La Lys, on 9 April 1918, in which Operation Georgette devastated the depleted Portuguese positions, Milhais, alone, ran along the trench lines in his sector to try to slow down the advance of the German troops towards the Portuguese positions.

OPENING
Casa Museu Soldado Milhões (The Soldier Millions Museum House) was inaugurated on April 10th 2023 with the presence of The President of the Portuguese Republic and various entities and relatives of Aníbal Milhais.
